When configuring dg in oracle 11g, we need to configure

Log_archive_dest_1=xxx

Log_archive_dest_2=xxx

However, after version 12.1, you do not need to configure log_archive_dest_2. If you configure it in the following error, you can clear this parameter.

ORA-16698: LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_n parameter set for object to be added Failed.

To clear LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_n settings, use the ALTER SYSTEM SET LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_n= "" SQL*Plus command.
