Performance

Better replication performance (logical_clock): transactions that can be concurrently on the main library are marked in the log as being able to execute concurrently in the standby library by using Group Commit. As a result, better concurrent apply efficiency is achieved.

Binlog Dump threads are not affected by Lock_log locks and pre-allocate and reuse memory for reading log event

An independent ACK thread is used to handle the ack returned by the slave database in the semisync open scenario to ensure that the binlog dump thread is not blocked while waiting for the network, thus improving the overall concurrency.

New features

Loss-less Semi-sync Replication: allows you to wait for standby ACK before a transaction is committed

Semisync allows you to configure the main database to wait for N ACK before continuing to submit, increasing availability.

Store the GTID information in the system table, so that if the slave database is cascaded, you can directly close the binlog of the slave database.

Multi-source Replication: allows you to copy data from multiple primary databases to a standby database
