Partition and merge of disks

The disk is not partitioned. What if all the information is on disk C. How to deal with the computer idle disk?

Do not have to enter the reinstallation system, do not download the partition assistant, only through the computer's "management" tool, easy to do.

Find the computer icon on your desktop, right-click, and select manage.

Then, find "disk Management" in the list on the left and click Open.

Find the disk that needs to be partitioned, right-click, select "compress Volume", and open it.

As shown in the figure, in the "enter the amount of compressed space", enter the amount of space to be created on the disk, and then click compress.

As shown in the figure, a new disk marked in green appears on the disk interface.

Right-click the new disk, select New simple Volume, and then a wizard appears.

Follow the steps to select the appropriate drive letter in the "assign drive letter" interface. The file system defaults to NTFS format, and click finish.

The new disk in the disk interface will appear with the word "formatting" and then become "New Volume (D:)", indicating that the new disk is complete.

So, there are too many disks, what if you want to merge the disks and reduce the number of disks? Let's continue with the above steps.

Right-click the newly created disk, select "Delete Volume", at this point, the system will pop up a "Delete simple Volume" prompt box, and click "Yes". Then, you will find that the new disk will become what it was when it was first created.

Next, right-click the primary disk of the merge and select expand Volume, which will pop up the expand Volume Wizard. Just follow the steps.

Finally, you will find that the disks have been merged. The problem is done.
