Recently, when I helped a friend install DiscuzX3.2, I encountered the problem that the database could not be connected:

Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

Have you filled in the database user and password correctly? And there is no problem logging in to the database through this user (root), but why can't you connect? There seems to be a problem with php connecting to mysql.

Look for a long time, all kinds of attempts.

Later, I came across a post that mentioned the php security mode, so I checked php.ini, which is indeed set to On and needs to be set to sql.safe_mode = Off.

Sure enough, it was solved and burst into tears.
