About Horizon 7 Agent and Remote Desktop (mstsc) Compatibility Problem Solution

In Horizon 7 environment, after Horizon Agent is installed on desktop template, it cannot connect to virtual desktop directly through Microsoft Remote Desktop (mstsc) tool, and it will prompt as follows:

After searching on the Internet, it is found that after Horizon 7 is installed, the system will turn off the TLS1.0 protocol in the virtual desktop for security reasons, and because the remote desktop needs the support of TLS1.0, the desktop cannot establish a remote desktop connection after installing the Agent.

The solution is as follows:

Enable TLS 1.0 by modifying the following registry options, changing the following key to 1

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.0\Server\Enable=1

Enable TLS1.0 and restart to resolve

To enable TLS 1.0, you can also download and install a software called IIS Crypto 2.0. In the Schanel, check TLS 1.0 and check Apply.
