CRS has nothing to do with ASM.

CRS is Oracle 10gR1 RAC's own cluster software, which is called Oracle Cluster Ready Service (Oracle Cluster ready Service), or CRS for short.

ASM is a new function put forward after Oracle 10g R2 to simplify the management of Oracle database. It is a volume manager provided by Oracle itself, which is mainly used to replace the LVM provided by the operating system. It not only supports single instance, but also supports RAC very well. ASM automatically manages disk groups and provides effective data redundancy.

To sum up, CRS is a cluster software that is only needed when doing clusters, while ASM is a software or function for managing volumes; this function and technology can be used in a single instance or cluster

How to know how to apply ASM, in addition to PS-AEF, it is also the name of the instance in the admin directory, or CRS_STAT sees the ASM resource

To view the ASM space, you must first switch to the ASM instance, export ORACLE_SID=+ASM1
