CTOnews.com, Nov. 17 (Xinhua)-- NASA astronomers have used the Hubble Space Telescope to measure the size of LTT 1445Ac exoplanets, which are about 1.07 times the diameter of Earth.

The planet is similar to Earth and has roughly the same surface gravity, but because the surface temperature reaches 500 degrees Fahrenheit, it is too hot for life.

This is the artist's concept of the nearby exoplanet LTT 1445Ac, which is about the size of Earth. The planet orbits a red dwarf star. The star is in a triple system, and two closely surrounded red dwarfs can be seen in the upper right corner. The black dot in front of the bright reddish sphere at the center of the image is the LTT 1445Ac planet, the surface of the transit star. The surface temperature of the planet is about 500 degrees Fahrenheit. In the foreground in the lower left corner is another planet in the system, LTT 1445Ab.

The asteroid LTT 1445Ac was first discovered by NASA's transit exoplanet exploration satellite (TESS) in 2022.

CTOnews.com Note: LTT 1445 is a star system of three red dwarfs located in the constellation Bojiang, 22.3 light-years from the sun.

The second planet, LTT 1445Ac, was also discovered in a 3.12-day orbital period with a mass of 1.54 Earth masses. Although it also transits to the star, its small size makes it difficult to detect before the apparent velocity is measured, and it is still difficult to estimate its exact size.

Emily Paz of the Astrophysics Center said: "the system may have an unfortunate geometry and may not be able to measure the right size. but with the ability of the Hubble Telescope, we determined its diameter.
