DragonFly BSD 5.0 release: support for the next generation of HAMMER2 file system
More than six months after the release of the 4.8branch, DragonFly BSD officially released version 5.0 today, adding many new features to enhance the performance of many components and fix BUG. Among the new features introduced, the most noteworthy new feature is support for the next generation of HAMMER2 bootable file systems. Users can install DragonFly BSD in the HAMMER2 file system, although it is still considered experimental.
the development team said: "support for the HAMMER2 file system has been released and introduced during the development of Branch 5.0. This support is still considered EXPERIMENTAL (experimental) and is not recommended for office machines and storing important data. Initiators support both UFS and HAMMER2 / boot."
