Apple macOS now copies Chrome and Safari browsers, and will be infected with AMOS malicious Trojans after installation.

CTOnews.com November 22 news, before macOS platform appeared a malicious Trojan called Atomic macOS Stealer (AMOS), this Trojan forged into Safari and Chrome browser, victims once installed these fake applications, personal information will be stolen.

Security researchers at security firm Malwarebytes discovered in September that hackers were placing ads in Google Ads to entice Mac users to download the copycat browser, similar to the "phishing attack" that was common on Windows platforms.

CTOnews.com learned from the security company disclosure report that hackers claimed in advertisements that users 'browsers were outdated and needed to download the latest version, and when users clicked on these pages, they would appear similar to the official browser download page. Although the design language was outdated, many unknown users were still guided to download fake browsers containing Trojans.
