CTOnews.com, December 14, according to CCTV news, today (14), CNOOC announced that well A12, the development well with the highest pressure in the second phase of the "Deep Sea No.1" project, has completed drilling, setting a new record for the pressure grade of domestic deepwater development wells. It is of great significance to ensure the smooth commissioning of the project and the further development of complex oil and gas resources in deep water.
The second phase of the "Deep Sea No.1" project is located in the sea area about 180 kilometers southeast of Hainan Island, with complex stratigraphic conditions and world-class challenges such as deep water, high temperature and high pressure. It is the first deepwater high pressure gas field project in China. Twelve underwater gas wells are deployed in the project, of which 3 are deepwater high pressure wells, of which well A12 is the most risky and difficult one. The pressure coefficient of the target layer is 1.74 and the formation pressure is 69 MPA, which is equivalent to 1000 times of the working pressure of the domestic pressure cooker. The technical difficulty and safety risk of drilling operation are very high.
Liu Shujie, chief engineer of CNOOC Hainan Branch, said that the drilling depth of well A12 was more than 4300 meters. At this point, the total drilling footage of the "Shenhai 1" Phase II project has exceeded 50000 meters, equivalent to the height of six Mount Qomolangma. The overall progress of drilling operation has reached 90%, laying a solid foundation for the project to be put into production on time. The drilling operation period of the whole project is more than 150 days ahead of schedule and the efficiency is more than 30%.
According to CTOnews.com, the second phase of the "Shenhai-1" project is the first deep-water high-pressure gas field project in China. After it is put into production, the overall annual output of the "Shenhai-1" gas field will exceed 4.5 billion cubic meters, equivalent to 90% of Hainan Island's natural gas consumption in 2021.
The "Shenhai No.1" gas field is by far the deepest and most difficult offshore ultra-deep water gas field independently developed in China. The proved geological reserves of natural gas exceed 150 billion cubic meters, the maximum water depth exceeds 1500 meters, and the maximum well depth exceeds 4000 meters. The first phase of the project was put into production on June 25, 2021, with an annual output of 3 billion cubic meters.
