Han Wenxiu of the Central Finance Office: China's automobile exports will exceed 5 million this year, a new historical record.

CTOnews.com, December 14, according to a CCTV news report, at the 2023-2024 China Economic Annual meeting held on December 13, Han Wenxiu, deputy director in charge of daily work of the Central Finance Office and director of the Central Agricultural Office, said that China's car exports this year will exceed 5 million, a new historical record.

China has the unique advantage of a complete industrial system and strong supporting capacity, and occupies an important position in the global industrial chain and supply chain. Automobile, shipbuilding and other manufacturing industries show strong international competitiveness.

Han Wenxiu said: exports from major trading countries have declined this year, while China's imports and exports are basically the same as the same period last year, or even slightly increased, with exports accounting for a slightly higher share of the international market at a slightly higher level, foreign exchange reserves at more than US $3 trillion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 21.48 trillion yuan), and the RMB exchange rate is basically stable.

According to data previously released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China's automobile production and sales completed 2401.6 million and 23.967 million vehicles respectively from January to October 2023, an increase of 8 per cent and 9.1 per cent respectively over the same period last year. Among them, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 735.2 million and 7.28 million respectively, up 33.9% and 37.8% respectively over the same period last year. New energy vehicle sales reached 30.4% of the total new car sales.

From January to October, China exported 3.922 million vehicles, up 59.7 percent from the same period last year, and 995000 new energy vehicles, up 99.1 percent from the same period last year.
