In December 2022, the Open Atom Open Source Foundation announced that openEuler was upgraded to a project group, operated as an independent project in terms of governance charter, community operation, fund raising, etc., accepted open source projects to join, and used openEuler project group infrastructure, operation, marketing and other resources.
During the operating system conference 2023 held today, Wu Hequan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said in his speech that he believed that with the efforts of tens of thousands of developers and thousands of partners in the openEuler community, openEuler would become a solid base for full-scene collaborative digital infrastructure and would also help China's industrial Internet achieve leapfrog development.
