Shulou(Shulou.com)12/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, December 19 (Xinhua) for most Windows users, updating the system often means trouble, especially the recent uproar of "uninstalling December updates to save campus Wi-Fi" is even more daunting. However, not all updates are scourges, and some can solve some maddening system vulnerabilities, such as Win11's latest cumulative update.
CTOnews.com noted that the Win11 update released this month finally fixed one of the most maddening vulnerabilities in the file manager: popping up and grabbing focus for no reason. Changing settings, opening notifications, browsing the web, or even playing games can cause the file manager to inexplicably appear on the screen, irregular, difficult to predict and reproduce.
The file manager itself has been criticized for its slow performance and other problems (fortunately, almost every update brings some improvements), but this pop-up problem once made people want to go back to the brink of Win10. On Feedback Hub, you can see a large number of angry users complaining about this problem.
Microsoft fixed this vulnerability in previous Win11 previews, but it has not been officially rolled out to all stable users until now. Although it takes more than a year to repair, it is better late than never. The update log of the KB5032288 non-secure update released on December 4 clearly states: "this update addresses the issue that the file manager window appears in the foreground unexpectedly."
Users can finally work and play happily without the trouble of the file manager pop-up window.
