CTOnews.com, December 21 (Xinhua)-- the Audi A6 e-tron is approaching, and recently spy photographers have photographed a prototype car with little camouflage.

CTOnews.com noted that the photo shows the Avant station wagon, which will be an electric version of the fuel version of the A7, following Audi's redesigned naming scheme, with a closed grille design, flanked by split headlights, air inlets and air chutes, making the whole sporty and simple.

The streamlined design runs through the body, and the car is equipped with an electronic rearview mirror and a minimalist door handle, with smooth lines, a muscular rear, an upward waistline and a full sense of movement.

The rear part of the car, slender taillights and an inclined rear window with an aerodynamic kit attract extra attention. The designer also designed an eye-catching diffuser and a curved rear bumper for the new car.

Although photos of the car's interior were not available, the A6 e-tron Avant's cockpit may be modelled on the design of the Q6 e-tron, with an 11.9-inch digital dashboard, a 14.5-inch infotainment system and a 10.9-inch passenger display.

There has not been much official announcement about the new car, but it is certain that the station wagon will be based on the new PPE platform. The powertrain may be similar to the Q6 e-tron, equipped with a 100kWh battery pack and a dual-motor all-wheel drive system with a maximum power of about 375hp and a WLTP mileage of about 600km. The previously unveiled A6 e-tron concept car has a dual-motor all-wheel drive system that can output 469 horsepower and 800Nm of torque, and the WLTP has a range of more than 700km.
