CTOnews.com, Dec. 22 (Xinhua)-- Musk's dream of a super high-speed rail has been shattered. Hyperloop One, formerly known as Virgin Hyperloop, is selling its assets, laying off remaining employees, and preparing to close by the end of 2023.

According to Bloomberg, Hyperloop One plans to shut down officially by the end of 2023, and all intellectual property rights will be transferred to Dubai's main port operator DP World, a major stakeholder.

Founded in 2014, Hyperloop One has raised about $450 million through venture capital funds and other investments (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 3.213 billion yuan).

Elon Musk (Elon Musk) put forward the "alpha paper" white paper in 2013, which envisioned the dream of super high-speed rail with a top speed of 760mph.

Although a small number of startups are still trying to build super-high-speed rail, the collapse of Hyperloop One, one of the largest super-high-speed rail companies, means the end of Musk's dream of super-high-speed rail.
