CTOnews.com, December 23 (Xinhua)-- Security research group VX-Underground recently released a report sharing a screenshot of Ubisoft, revealing that an anonymous attacker hacked into Ubisoft on December 20 and stole data larger than 900GB.

Ubisoft is a French video game publisher known for its well-known games, including the Assassin's Creed, isolated Island Horror, Rainbow 6: siege and Avatar: Pandora Border.

The attacker claimed control of access to the Ubisoft SharePoint server, Microsoft Teams,Confluence and MongoDB Atlas panels, and posted pictures to prove it.

CTOnews.com quoted the media as saying that the attackers had tried to steal user data from the Rainbow 6: siege game, but were found by Ubisoft before the theft and lost access.

Ubisoft then revealed to the foreign science and technology media BleepingComputer that the data security incident was being investigated.
