Problem description

In the newly deployed oracle environment, there is a requirement that job calls stored procedures to create tablespaces under designer users at 1: 00 a.m. every day. The user already has connect,resource,dba privileges.

The next day, I found that the tablespace was not created. When I found the alert_.log log, I saw ORA-1031 signalled during: create tablespace tablespace name datafile'+ DATA' size 10m autoextend on next 5m maxsize 100m. A prompt like this.

There is no problem with copying the corresponding creation tablespace statements to the designer user for execution. Then the same prompt appears when you manually run job, and the tablespace is not created successfully. Then when calling the stored procedure separately, because I forgot to set the set serveroutput option, I directly reported that the execution was successful and did not see the corresponding prompt. Finally, set a prompt such as set serveroutput on Discovery ora-01031:insufficient privileges. Finally, the user is assigned the following permissions

Grant create tablespace to designer

The error is no longer reported after testing.

However, there is a question in mind that designer users have DBA permissions, in which DBA permissions include create tablespace permissions, and job and stored procedures are also established under designer. Why should designer be given the permission to create tablespaces only in order to successfully create tablespaces?
