Check the mode of cluster: crsctl get cluster mode status (standard or flex)-12C to execute

Modify the mode of cluster: crsctl set cluster mode flex

The log of grid in 11G is located in the following directory:

Grid cd $ORACLE_HOME/log/hostname/

There are two types of RAC in 12c:

1. Standard cluster

Name of alert log: alert.log

Location of alert log: $ORACLE_BASE/diag/crs/hostname/crs/trace

2. Flex cluster (no change with 11G)

Name of alert log: alert.log

Location of alert log: $ORACLE_HOME/log/hostname

You can also view the path of the cluster log through adrci in 12C.
