Background: recently modified a SQLServer table structure with massive data, reported an error [unable to modify the table. Timeout time is up. The timeout expired or the server did not respond before the operation was completed. ]

[solution]: tools-> options > designer-> Table designer and Database designer-> check "update the timeout value of the connection string for the table designer" on the right, the transaction timeout below it should be 30 seconds by default, slightly larger, but it seems to be no more than 65535.
