Problem description

The Thinkpad T480 installs the Win7 operating system and uses the driver wizard to install the driver, which cannot be installed properly when installing the video card driver.

Solution method

Go to the Intel official website to download the graphics card driver:

File: win64_154519.4678.zip

Https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26836/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-45-

Extract the folder, open the folder, find\ Graphics\ igdlh74.inf, and right open it.

On my computer-> manage-> device Manager-> display Adapter, VGA driver-> right-select Properties

Click details-> Properties: select View hardware id from the drop-down. The version here is: 5917

Return to igdlh74.inf to search for 5916 (5917 similar version number)

Select this line and click copy

Find Windows 7 Install-DT Only above and paste the copied content on the last line

And modify the content to:

% iKBLULTGT2% = iSKLD_w7, PCI\ VEN_8086&DEV_5917 # 5917 is the version number of the video card

Click Save, and when you run Setup.exe, you can install it normally.

After installing the restart, you can adjust the brightness of the monitor normally.
