Phased shutdown of 3.oracle database

3.1 put the database from open state to mount state

SQL > alter database close

Database altered.

Close all data files and log files

3.2 Uninstall the database from the mount state to the nomount state

SQL > alter database dismount;-- in mount state

Database altered.

Close the control file

3.3 close the database

SQL > shutdown

ORA-01507: database not mounted

ORACLE instance shut down.
