Network connection: after installation, both the client and the server need to configure the network to connect to the network, the server should configure the listener, and the client should configure the network service name.

Server startup program: if the client and the server are not on the same host, the listener and database services are required to be started; if they are on the same host, the database service can be started

Three network configuration files, listener.ora, sqlnet.ora, and tnsnames.ora, are located in the network directory under the oracle installation directory

There are two ways to connect to the client: a simple connection (the client does not need any settings) and a local command (which needs to be configured in tnsnames.ora)

Service name: connection string, you can access the database through the service name, but the service name is not the same as the database; you can use tnsping to test whether a service is available, and you need to specify the service name in the sqlnet.ora

Registration: registers the database with the listener as a service; there are two registration methods: one is static registration and the other is dynamic registration.
