Normal exit:

Thread 0x6c8 exited with a return value of 0 (0x0).

Thread 0x8ec exited with a return value of 0 (0x0).

The program "[2464] test.exe" exited with a return value of 0 (0x0).

Through the task manager, you can also see that the program is running in the background

Analytical operation

Write the simplest example, and there is no problem with a normal exit. By gradually blocking the code, it is finally found that creating another window in the constructor of one window makes the program unable to exit normally. Another window created is a modeless dialog box, but the Show function is not called to display the interface. At this time, click the current window close button, in fact, another window is not destroyed, indicating that when you click the close button to send a close event, only the displayed window can receive the message.

Solve

The problem is solved by adjusting the code that creates the window.
