DISPLAY environment variable format is as follows

host:NumA.NumB

host refers to the host name or IP address of the host where the Xserver is located, and the graph will be displayed on this machine. This IP can be either the server IP or the client IP. If Host is empty, Xserver is running natively.

xhost is used to control access to the X server.

Usually when you log in from hostA to hostB and run the application on hostB, hostA is a client as an application, but as a graphic, it is displayed on hostA. When hostA is a windows environment without Xserver, you need to display the graphical interface on hostB. At this time, you need to execute export DISPLAY=hostB:0.0 on the login tool of hostA, such as xshell, and then execute xhost + for authorization.

xhost + is to make Xserver accessible to all users.

xhost + ip enables users on ip to access Xserver.
