1. Svcs

Description:

Is used to view the service status of the system

Parameters:

-a: list all the services in the system

-x: view services that have not been booted up

-d [ssh]: view the relationship of service dependencies

-D [ssh]: view dependent services

-l [ssh]: view the details of the service

II. Svcadm

Description:

Directly manage the start and stop of the system service, and can refresh the system state without restarting the service

Parameters:

Svcadm enable [ssh]: activate boot start ssh service, and start ssh service

Svcadm disable [ssh]: stop the ssh service and start without booting

Svcadm restart [ssh]: restart the ssh service

Eg:

Solaris starts ftp and telnet services

Inetd uniformly manages network services such as ftp,telnet in solaris

You can check the running status of the two services using the command svcs-a | grep ftp and svcs-a | grep telnet

If you return

Disable svc:/network/ftp:default

Disable svc:/network/telnet:default

Start the service

Svcadm enable svc:/network/ftp:default

Svcadm enable svc:/network/telnet:default

Out of Service

Svcadm disable svc:/network/ftp:default

Svcadm disable svc:/network/telnet:default

Restart the service

Svcadm restart svc:/network/ftp:default

Svcadm restart svc:/network/telnet:default
