Hardware environment

One server dell 730s

Configuration: 4Tx6 hard disk, 4Gx4 memory

Demand:

1. The 0th and 1st hard drives are configured for RAID1 to store system files (200g). The rest of the hard drives are divided again into RAID1 and the rest of the hard drives are configured for RAID5 to store data files.

2. Install win Server 2008

Configure RAID:

Press CTRL+R when the following interface appears on the boot

(clear the originally deployed RAID) press F2 when entering the interface above

Select the second item Clear Config > > Select OK in the dialog box that pops up

To create a RAID, press F2 in the options above

Select the first option Creater New VD

Enter the next view in the drop-down list of RAID Level on the left, press enter and pop-up drop-down list to select the Raid type RAID-1 to be created

Select the following option to divide the remaining disk space of the two disks into Raid1 again by F2

Then divide the other disks into RAID5

RAID1 and RAID0 can only choose two hard drives. Too many hard drives cannot be selected.

RAID5 chooses at least three hard drives; RAID10 selects at least four hard drives, but the number of disks is a multiple of 2; the number of RAID50 disks is a multiple of 3

Installation system

Press Ctrl+Alt+delete to restart the server

Press F11 to turn on the system

Select the second item to enter the BIOS and select the startup item

Other steps are consistent with the method of installing an operating system on an ordinary computer.
