-p hostport:containerport-p ip:hostport:containerport when the host has multiple IP addresses, map the container port to a specific host and its port-p ip::containerport to the host's IP, but the port randomly-p hostport:containerport-p hostport:containerport specifies multiple port mapping example: use the command: docker-d-p 91:80-- name mynginx nginx (91 is the mapped port, 80 refers to the port in the container
