To sum up, if there are multiple database versions, my advice is:

Mysql version 5. 7 and percona xtrabackup version 2. 4

Mysql version 8.0 or above, percona xtrabackup version 8.0 can be used

For example, after coming into contact with some financial industries, the mysql version still uses mysql 5.7. of course, the official oracle development support for mysql 8.0 is increasing, and there are more iterations of new features and features.
