In the test of persistent WMI events, the WMI instance was deleted repeatedly, and the following error was encountered:

Event filter with query "select * from DATABASE_MIRRORING_STATE_CHANGE" could not be reactivated in namespace "/. / root/subscription" because of error 0x8004100e. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.

Resetting the WMI database solves the problem as follows:

Delete the created WMI instance, bound filter, bound consumer.

Stop the WMI service.

Back up the C:\ Windows\ System32\ wbem\ Repository directory.

Clear the contents of the Repository directory.

Open the WMI service.

Recreate the persistent WMI instance.

Note: if you still report an error, restart the server after step 4.
