Run the downloaded "adksetup.exe" to download and install Windows ADK. The installation process is skipped. Tools are installed under " D:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Assessment and Deployment Kit\," where "Windows Preinstallation Environment" is the Windows Preinstallation Environment installation directory and "Deployment Tools" is the Deployment Tools installation directory.

Build Windows PE using Deployment and Imaging Tools Environment

Open Deployment and Imaging Tools Environment and enter

"copype amd64 d:\winpe_amd64"

Copy Windows PE file to "d:\winpe_amd64" directory,

Use tool "makewinpemedia" to generate ISO images

"makewinpemedia /iso d:\winpe_amd64 d:\winpe_amd64.iso"

Generate winpe_amd64.iso image file, burn this image file to USB flash drive for startup.

Note: Opening the Deployment and Imaging Tools Environment displays a similar interface to switching to the corresponding directory at the command prompt, but the "Copy" command cannot be executed directly to switch to the corresponding directory through the command prompt, as shown in the following figure.
