After ORACLE database is replicated or cloned, you often need to change your user name and password. Here is a summary of the methods and steps for modification:

1. Query the system table USER$

SELECT NAME,USER# FROM user$ WHERE UPPER (TRIM (NAME)) = 'USER NAME'

2. Modify the user name

UPDATE user$ SET NAME = 'NEW NAME' WHERE USER# = (SELECT USER# FROM user$ WHERE UPPER (TRIM (NAME)) =' USER NAME')

COMMIT

3. Clear the cache

ALTER SYSTEM CHECKPOINT

ALTER SYSTEM FLUSH SHARED_POOL

COMMIT

4. Change the user's password and unlock the account

ALTER USER USERNAME IDENTIFIED BY 'NEW PASSWORD'

ALTER USER USERNAME ACCOUNT UNLOCK;-unlock the account

COMMIT

After modification, just use the new user and secret login.
