Microsoft browser extension will be suspended on January 15th next year with the help of Microsoft's broadsword department.

CTOnews.com, Nov. 28 (Xinhua)-- Microsoft launched the Microsoft 365browser extension, then called Office Online, in 2016, which works with the original Edge and Chrome browsers and aims to make it easier for users to access Microsoft's cloud applications. Microsoft also launched a new look for the browser plug-in in August this year.

However, CTOnews.com found that Microsoft's "broadsword department" has stepped in, and the official support page shows that Microsoft will stop supporting the "Microsoft 365 browser extension" and completely stop using the plug-in from January 15, 2024.

After January 15, 2024, the extension will no longer receive security updates, non-security updates, bug fixes, or technical support. The Microsoft 365 browser extension will also be removed from Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome Web Store as an extension add-on.
