On November 26, the Fifth MLBB World Finals (M5) wild card competition ended smoothly at the JioSpace Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. After four days of fierce competition, eight teams from China, Malaysia, Mongolia, Latin America, South Asia, Middle East & North Africa, Eastern Europe & Central Asia and Mekong River Division finally qualified for the M5 World Finals with SMG and Lilgun of Mongolia.

They will join the remaining 14 teams from Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar, Cambodia, Turkey, North America, Latin America, Middle East & North Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia in Manila, Philippines to compete in the group stage of the M5 World Finals to be held on December 2 to fight for the top award of MLBB e-sports.

In this wild card group stage, the Chinese team KBG won the first set victory in the project of MLBB e-sports against the Peruvian team IMPERIO E-SPORT, the CIS team UMBRELLA SQUAD and the Mongolian team Lilgun, respectively, against the Mongolian team Lilgun, which was the first team in the group.

Although it is a pity to stop the wild card race in the M5 World Finals, KBG player Tides, who participated in the MLBB global competition for the first time, said in an interview: "it is very exciting to come to Malaysia to participate in the MLBB competition for the first time. We have learned a lot from other teams. Although we are still far behind overseas teams, we believe that one day we can surpass them."

Regarding the first time that the MLBB global tournament system has ushered in the Chinese team since its establishment in 2017, Mao Yanhui, head of the pupil e-sports, said: "in the seventh year of e-sports going out to sea, we are very happy to see the Chinese team standing on the global stage of MLBB e-sports. This is an important milestone in the globalization of e-sports. The road for Chinese team MLBB e-sports has just begun, and we look forward to better performance from Chinese e-sports players to the global audience next year."

At present, based on the MLBB e-sports project, the pupil has established cooperation with more than 200 international teams around the world, hosting more than 600 competitions every year in more than 50 countries and regions, and gradually building a global e-sports competition system in Southeast Asia, Central Asia, South Asia, Latin America, North America, the Middle East, North Africa, Eastern Europe and other regions. In 2019, 2021 and 2022, "Mobile Legends: Bang Bang" was successfully selected into the official e-sports medal event of the Southeast Asian Games for three consecutive years. In 2021 and 2022, "Mobile Legends: Bang Bang" ranked first in the global mobile e-sports project for two years in a row.
