Microsoft PowerToys version 0.76 update: optimize UI, add new add-ons for file manager

CTOnews.com, December 5, Microsoft updated its PowerToys application today, adding new add-ons to the file manager, modernizing and improving PowerToys Run, and adjusting the Quick Accent and Text Extractor interfaces to better fit the Win11 style.

The upgrade supports .NET 8.

Keyboard Manager can now remap cases and support keyboard shortcuts to send unicode text sequences.

Modernize the keyboard manager editor UI.

Modernize PowerToys Run, Quick Accent and Text Extractor UI.

New file explorer add-ins: QOI image preview handler (QOI image Preview Handler) and thumbnail provider (Thumbnail Provider).

General:

Update the WebView 2 dependency to 1.0.2088.41.

Fixed unreadable color brushes used in WinUI3 applications to improve accessibility.

Floating controls used across WinUI3 applications are no longer limited to application boundaries.

Upgrade the WPF-UI dependency to preview.9, and plan to upgrade to preview.11 later.

Upgraded to .NET 8.

The WinAppSDK dependency is updated to version 1.4.3.
