CTOnews.com, December 10, 8 local time, Honda announced that it will recall more than 1.13 million vehicles in Japan due to problems with the fuel pump. It is reported that the fuel pumps involved in the recall are made by auto parts manufacturer Denso.

Tu Yuan Pixabay triggered the recall because the parts in the fuel pumps of these vehicles may be deformed and even cause the engine to stall suddenly while driving.

The recall involved 25 Honda models, a total of 1.138046 million, including N-Box, Feido and Step Wgn. In addition, it also includes 204 NSX sports cars exported to Japan by US subsidiaries. The production dates of these vehicles are between June 2017 and September 2020.

Although Honda has received 422 reports of fuel pump defects, there have been no safety incidents related to the problem.

CTOnews.com noted that fuel pump defects in Denso production have led to recalls by automakers such as Toyota, Honda, Daihatsu, Suzuki, Mazda and Subaru since March 2020. A total of about 3.83 million vehicles, including Honda's recall, were affected.

An executive at Denso apologized for the recall and said the company would take the matter seriously and take prompt action to carry out the recall.
