Previously approved subsidies will continue, but no new applications will be accepted after December 18.

Under the German subsidy program, consumers can receive a subsidy of 6750 euros (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 52650 yuan) for electric vehicles, of which 4500 euros are borne by the government and 2250 euros by car companies.

Today, Tesla announced that he would provide compensation to prospective owners of German Model 3 / Y cars (limited to new cars delivered before December 31).

It is worth mentioning that Tesla's car sales target is 1.8 million vehicles in 2023, and to achieve this goal, they will need to achieve sales of about 476000 vehicles in the fourth quarter, so they will try their best to achieve momentum at the end of the year.

In addition, Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz have also said they will provide full subsidies to German buyers, and other carmakers are expected to join in the future.

Mercedes-Benz said it would subsidize orders delivered before December 31, while orders placed after January 1 would "pay the manufacturer's share of the original subsidy in 2024".

Volkswagen said it would deliver the ID by December 15. The series of pure electric vehicles provides subsidies, while Stellantis said it will provide full subsidies for orders delivered by December 31.
