CTOnews.com learned that suspect Cai Mou has acquired 30 to 40 drones that have been active for no more than a year on a second-hand trading platform since June 2021, then asked someone to forge flight accident records, and then called the drone after-sales call to ask for compensation.

Through this technique, Cai successively replaced 24 drones, worth more than 250,000 yuan, and sold them on the second-hand trading platform, making an illegal profit of more than 100,000 yuan.

Xiao Gao, a reporter commissioned by a drone company, said that at the end of 2022, when the company's after-sales department took an annual inventory of compensation, it found that Cai had frequently applied for compensation for flight loss of drones since December 2021, and found doubts through data analysis, and then launched an investigation.
