The decision means that Volkswagen's new electric cars, including Audi, Porsche and Scout Motors, will be directly compatible with Tesla's super charging network, providing its users with a more convenient and efficient charging experience.

At that time, Volkswagen owners will have access to 15000 supercharging stations in North America.

Ford, GM and other car companies have joined, but the Volkswagen Group has been slow to speak, only the news of "negotiations" with Tesla. Earlier, it was reported that Electrify America, Volkswagen's electric car charging company, would begin to add Tesla charging plugs on its own.
