Shulou( Report--, December 20, July this year, Intel launched a Gaudi2 processor for the Chinese market, which is mainly used to accelerate AI training and reasoning.

According to Phoronix, a new version of the acceleration card is coming, and Intel has added support for Gaudi2C to its Linux driver.

It is not clear the difference between Gaudi2C and Gaudi2, but it is reported that it may be a "limited" variant and is still a special product for the Chinese market. Foreign media tomshardware also said it may be a simplified version of Gaudi2.

The Linux patch shows that the product is a PCI version of Gaudi2 with ID of "3" and follows the same driver code path as the Gaudi2 and Gaudi2B versions.

Intel announced the Gaudi3 accelerator card at the SC23 conference in November, reported, citing Serve the Home. The report says that the Gaudi3 uses the 5nm process, the bandwidth is 1.5 times that of the previous Gaudi2 (7nm process), the BF16 power is 4 times, and the network computing power is 2 times.

Intel plans to release Gaudi3 in 2024, with HBM3e RAM with the highest 128GB, which will greatly improve the learning and training performance of AI.
