This paper is mainly aimed at making Windows Server 2008 R2 template machine on VMware Workstation platform. Before making template machine, you need to install windows server 2008 R2 in VMware Workstation before doing the following steps:

1 install vmware tools

Select virtual machine-install vmware tools, open the CD drive when prompted, and select a typical installation. Click the next step all the way and restart it.

two。 Turn off the firewall

Start-control panel-systems and security-firewalls-turn firewalls on or off-turn off all firewalls

3. Cancel IPV6 in the network card setting

Uncheck IPV6 for local connection

4. Open a remote connection

Start-computer Properties-Advanced system Settings-remote-check: allow computer connections running any version of the remote desktop

5. Set the oobe universal and shut down the computer

Run: C:\ Windows\ System32\ sysprep\ sysprep

Select OOBE, check: general, select shutdown.

6. Take a snapshot of the current template machine

7. In the later stage, you need to create a new virtual machine to clone the template machine directly.
