After successfully installing the Oracle 11g database under CentOS6, we are faced with the problem of starting Oracle. Here is a summary of the study and practice.

One: start the database manually

Log in with the Oracle user

$lsnrctl start

$sqlplus / as sysdba

Sql > startup

Then you can manipulate the database.

Second: automatically start the database

1. Modify oratab

# vi / etc/oratab

Xx:/opt/oracle/11.2.0:Y (N changed to Y)

Esc:wq! Save

two。 Modify dbstart,dbshut

# vi / opt/oracle/11.2.0/bin/dbstart

ORACLE_HOME_LISTNER=$ORACLE_HOME (originally $1)

Esc:wq! Save

# vi / opt/oracle/11.2.0/bin/dbshut

ORACLE_HOME_LISTNER=$ORACLE_HOME (originally $1)

Esc:wq! Save

3. Add content to rc.local

# vi / etc/rc.d/rc.local

Add the following to the file

Su-oracle-c "lsnrctl start"

Su-oracle-c "dbstart"

Esc:wq! Save

4. Restart

# reboot

5. Log in to use the database

Oracle user login

$sqlplus / as sysdba

Sql >

Then you can use the database.
