Kali Linux install OpenVAS

OpenVAS is an open vulnerability assessment system that can be used to implement various vulnerability scans. However, most systems are not installed by default. Some users will encounter various problems in the process of installation, such as loss of scanning service, initialization failure and so on. These problems are all caused by the instability of the network. To help users install OpenVAS smoothly, the detailed steps for installing OpenVAS are described below. As follows:

(1) install OpenVAS package. Execute the command as follows:

Apt-get install openvas-y

(2) initialize OpenVAS. Execute the command as follows:

Openvas-setup

(3) modify the default user admin password. For example, set the password to 123456. As follows:

Openvasmd-user=admin-new-password=123456

(4) verify the integrity of the OpenVAS installation. As follows:

Openvas-check-setup

(5) access OpenVAS service. Enter https://127.0.0.1:9392/ in the browser and the untrusted interface will pop up. At this point, if prompted to trust its link, the login interface will open successfully. Then, enter the user name and password to successfully open the OpenVAS main interface.
