Oracle database auditing may not be enabled by default, but regardless of whether the auditing feature is enabled or not, the system will be forced to record the following operations:

1. Connect the instance with the SYS administrator user and record it in the Windows application log

2. Start and shut down the database and record it in the Windows application log and database warning log.

The Windows application log can be viewed by opening the Windows event Viewer to start-"run -" eventvwr.

Even if you are not logged in as a SYS administrator, you can still see the user login and logout information in the Windows security log, corresponding through a unique login ID.

The path to the warning log file is determined by the initialization parameter background_dump_dest. The 11g database warning log file path is generally% ORACLE_BASE%\ diag\ rdbms\% ORACLE_SID%\% ORACLE_SID%\ trace\ alert_.log, while the 10g database warning log file path is generally% ORACLE_BASE%\ product\ 10.2.0\ admin\% ORACLE_SID%\ bdump\ alert_.log.
