AIX system upgrade

Only Oracle10g R2 is supported for AIX5.3.8, upgrade to AIX5.3.9 if necessary to install Oracle11g

The following is the upgrade process:

1. View the current system version

# oslevel-r

5300-08

2. Prepare to upgrade the system

Upgrade the system to 5300-09 and install Oracle 11g R2

Download the patch:

Download address on the official website: http://www-933.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/

Required patch: 5300-09-01 (rely on patch: 5300-09-00)

# pwd

/ soft/aix_5309

# smit installp

3. Check after upgrade

# oslevel-r

5300-09
