1.PV commonly used related commands

1) lsdev: lists the devices in ODM (Object Data Manager).

2) chdev: modify the properties of an AIX device.

6) migratepv: migrate the PP (physical partition) in one PV to another PV.

2.VG commonly used related commands

1) mkvg: create a new VG.

2) extendvg: extend the existing VG.

3) reducevg: reduce the existing VG.

4) chvg: modify the attributes of an existing VG.

5) lsvg: view information about existing VG.

6) importvg: import the specified VG into the AIX system.

7) exportvg: exports the specified VG from the AIX system (removes VG information from ODM).

8) reorgvg: reorganizes the data distribution in VG, which is often used for volume group adjustment and Istroke O optimization.

9) syncvg: synchronize the data of LV in VG.

10) varyonvg: activate (load) specify VG.

11) varyoffvg: close (uninstall) specify VG.
