LineageOS, as a custom Android ROM, is a continuation of CyanogenMod (CM). It was first launched in 2016 and is still being actively updated.

The LineageOS can be used on a variety of devices under different Android brands, including Google, HMD Global, Samsung, Sony, Yiga, Xiaomi, etc., and the ROM also allows some long-standing brands to move forward, such as the early Essential Phone, LG, etc.
