Google admits that BUG exists in Drive cloud disk service: causing users to lose files for months
CTOnews.com November 28 news, according to foreign technology media Android Police reported that a number of users reported problems with Google Drive cloud storage service, resulting in several months of file loss.
The problem dates back to November 21, when a South Korean user first reported the problem, saying that all new files and changes had been lost since May this year.
A Google Drive employee responded to the post on Nov. 27, acknowledging the problem and saying that it was investigating problems with some desktop users and would follow up and disclose the findings.
CTOnews.com learned from the report that the employee said that desktop Google Drive users should not click "disassociate accounts" before troubleshooting, should also avoid deleting or moving application data folders, and recommend backing up related files.
