Statistics show that global electric vehicle sales exceeded 10 million in the first nine months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 39.3%.

With the continuous development of technology, the increase of models and the improvement of supporting facilities such as charging, the sales of electric vehicles continue to increase, and the share of new sales of cars also continues to increase.

In a report released on Wednesday, the Korea Automobile Industry Association revealed that global sales of electric vehicles reached 10.037 million in the first nine months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 39.3%, compared with 7.207 million in the same period last year.

Foreign media also mentioned in their reports that 10.948 million new electric vehicles were sold worldwide last year, and sales in the first nine months of this year were close to 92% of those in the whole of last year, and a sharp increase in sales this year was a foregone conclusion.

The Korea Automobile Industry Association report also shows that of the electric vehicles sold in the first nine months, 7.23 million were pure electric vehicles, 2.799 million plug-in hybrid vehicles and 8000 fuel cell electric vehicles.

Sales of electric vehicles have risen sharply from a year earlier, which means that the proportion of new cars sold in the first nine months will also increase. The Korea Automobile Industry Association also mentioned in the report that a total of 64.226 million cars were sold worldwide in the first nine months, of which electric vehicles accounted for 15.6%.
