According to Guangzhou Daily, on May 22, Cao Zhennan, deputy director of the National High performance computer Engineering and Technology Research Center, introduced the "supercomputing Internet Action Plan" at the Information and Communications Sub-Forum of the Dawan Science Forum in 2023.
The program plans to build a supercomputing Internet platform that integrates application, data and computing services, to solve the problem of uneven distribution of computing power in industries and regions, and to meet the continuous growth demand for computing power in various industry applications, so as to promote cutting-edge scientific and technological innovation and the development of AI industry. Cao Zhennan looks forward to helping Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area's industrial development through the "supercomputing Internet platform", and also hopes to take advantage of the advantages of software research and development in the Bay area to create a "supercomputing application mall."
