CTOnews.com news on December 6th, in the digital information age, video has become an important way for people to obtain information. However, the complexity of video content often makes it difficult to find the information you need quickly. Microsoft has announced a major update to the Copilot function of its Edge browser: video information processing.

According to Mikhail Parakhin, CEO of Microsoft Advertising and Web Services, the updated Copilot can display video summaries while playing YouTube videos. What is even more impressive is that even if the uploaded YouTube video itself does not contain a timestamp, Copilot can automatically generate timestamps and summaries of key parts by analyzing the video content, providing viewers with a detailed overview of the content without the need to manually fast-forward the video.

CTOnews.com noted that Google had previously launched a Bard extension for YouTube that provided similar features.

At present, this update of Microsoft Copilot is only available to some users, and plans to gradually make it available to all users. The company also plans to extend this video information processing capability to mobile devices to further expand its influence and coverage.

This feature is expected to revolutionize the way we interact with video content and lead to a more efficient and convenient video viewing experience.
